Nyali Beach Hotel was the very first of Kenya's beach hotels Having being opened in 1946, it was able to have the pick of locations. It soon gained a reputation for hospitality and excellence which endures to this day. It is situated about 10 kilometers from Mombasa and approximately 15 kilometers from Moi International Airport.

There are a total of 170 rooms in the Nyali Beach Hotel divided into two sections.
The Palm Wing consists of rooms closer to the beach. The rooms all have two double beds, are en suite with sea views. They also have satellite TV, air conditioning, own balcony, small sitting room area, mini bar and coffee making facilities. The rooms also have bath/shower combinations.
The other side consists of the Garden Wing. These rooms are further away from the ocean and enjoy views of the landscaped gardens. They have the same facilities as the Palm Wing.
