TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A deposit of 30-50% of the total invoice is required to secure your reservations, once being confirmed to you.

The balance of payment is due 20-30 days prior to your date of arrival in Africa or safari start. If your booking is made and confirmed within 45 days of your arrival date, full payment will be required immediately. Payments can be made either by Visa, Master Card via Telegraphic Transfer to our bank account to be provided. Payment by visa card attracts a 5% bank surcharge Cancellation must be notified in writing and will take effect the day it is received by Accord African Safaris.

The following penalties will apply :-

• Cancellations received between 35 days and 25 days prior to commencement of Services shall be
• charged at 25% of the total cost of Services.
• Cancellation received between 24 days and 15 days (48hours) prior to commencement of Services
• shall be charged at 35% of the total cost of Services.
• Cancellation received between 14 days and 08 days (48hours) prior to commencement of Services
• shall be charged at 50% of the total cost of Services.
• Cancellation received between 07 days and 03 days (48hours) prior to commencement of Services
• shall be charged at 75% of the total cost of Services.
• Cancellations received within 2 days (48hours) or after commencement of Services shall be charged
• at the full cost of Services - 100%.

General Booking Conditions : -

Passports and Visas

You are required to ensure that your passport and travel documentation is in order and that you have obtained the necessary visas for your journey. Should you require assistance on this matter we will be pleased to make recommendations.

International and Domestic air bookings

Reconfirmation of flight bookings is the responsibility of the traveller. As tour arrangements may be booked to connect with international and domestic air flights it is your responsibility to keep us updated as to your flight times and numbers.

Travel Insurance

It is a  Condition of booking one of our tours that the traveller is adequately insured for the full duration of the tour in respect of illness, death, injury, Medical expenses, damage to or loss of baggage and consequential loss arising from any eventuality.

It is mandatory that each client obtains adequate personal travel insurance to cover such  personal

Risks as illness ,Personal Injury or death, loss of baggage and compensation or refund for discontinuation of safari due to circumstances beyond the control of the Company, though not limited to force majeure circumstances only, during the period of their safari otherwise the Company

Does not accept liability .

Flying Doctors service cover is mandatory for rapid evacuation from the scene of an accident or

Emergency to a hospital otherwise the client is responsible for his evacuation by Air or Otherwise.

Amendments to confirmed arrangements

Accord African Safaris offers its clients customised packages of land and / or air services using various suppliers. The price of your travel arrangements is subject to the possibility of changes and surcharges beyond our control and may occur in connection with governmental action, currency exchange rate fluctuation and increases in suppliers' prices.

While Accord African Safaris will use its best endeavours to provide all tours as confirmed, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice if deemed necessary or advisable by our experienced staff.

LIABILITY

Accord African Safaris and its agents act only as the Agent of the Passenger in all matters relating to accommodation ,meals, tours and transportation of any type and shall not be liable for any inconvenience, omission for service ,injury ,delay, loss, or  damage from any cause in any matter whatsoever including weather, machinery breakdown labour disputes, civil disturbance and Government orders.

Accord African Safaris Limited is insured against legal liabilities arising from injuries that may be incurred by passengers in its own vehicle in which case all claims are subject  only to the jurisdiction Of the Courts of Kenya.

Accord African Safaris reserves the right to employ sub-Contractors to carry out all or any part of the Services agreed to be supplied and in the exercise of such right the clause relating to liability as an Agent shall apply.

All bookings with Accord African Safaris are therefore subject to the limitations of liability imposed by the underlying operators involved in the trip.

Payment of a deposit will indicate an acceptance of these booking conditions by the passenger/client.
